Our Capitol

Went to Washington DC this past weekend to see the festivities of the annual Cherry Blossom Festival. The trees are beautiful the festival itself was a flop in my opinion. Not enough culture, which I had thought there would have been. So off we went to tour around town, or so we thought! Turns out that you need tickets in advance to do much of anything in DC now. Washington monument, tickets are handed out morning of, first come first serve and after that your out of luck! We strolled on over to the Holocaust museum and guess what, yep, need tickets in advance to get into a museum too! All sold out for the day! It was very disappointing to go to our nations capital and be declined into going into anything. What happened to waiting in a line and going in? The weather was 70 degrees with 96 % humidity! Welcome to the East Coast! Haha! The day wasn't bad though, we got plenty of exercise and got to see some sites from afar. It was an adventure. Hope to get back to do some of the things we couldn't do this trip, we will make sure to get tickets next time! Duh, who would have guessed!
